What “approved” means
- Players are responsible for confirming that the paddle they use in match play is listed as Pass on USA Pickleball’s approved paddle list.[2]
- To be legal in sanctioned events, a paddle must be listed in USA Pickleball’s public database; pro prototypes and unreleased special editions don’t qualify.[2]
What this lookup can’t tell you
- This is a copy taken on the date shown. USA Pickleball adds paddles almost every day, so a new paddle may be missing here. The list showed 5,383 paddles that day, and this copy holds all of them.[1]
- Some older entries show no date added on the official list, so the lookup shows none for them.[1]
- Paddles can be put under investigation or removed. The compliance report lists those cases; check it and the official entry before an event.[3]
- The copy holds brand, model and date added only. Specs such as core material, depth and surface are on each official entry.[1]
